This new Casio digital is reminiscent of the watches Casio made in the late 70s and early 80s.

Casio was a leading brand in the digital watch market during this pioneering time. The Company patented a system for switching the display between hours and minutes and date and day. In the 80s, Casio's attempt to enforce this patent threatened many UK watch makers at the cheaper end of the market.

In 1977 Casio announced a LCD watch that could display two time zones and switched at the push of a button.

This retro Casio watches is very close to the original in look and feel.  It brings back that time in the late 70s to 80s when digital LCD digital watches changed from ultra chic pieces of cutting edge technology to everyman's way to have chronograph accuracy for the price of a cheap wind-up watch.
